Child protection Project

Child protection Project is a pilot project implemented by AJISO and is funded by Probono School Partnerships for One world since January 2019 and s the first phase ended in June 2019. The project was implemented in two wards including  Kivule inIlala District, Dar es Salaam Region and Mwanga in Mwanga District, Kilimanjaro Region.

The project focused on two schools, Asha Rose Migiro Girls secondary School at Mwanga ward which consisted of 317 students and Mbonea Secondary School at kivule Ward which consisted of 322 students. The clubs have 20 members each who are trained to train and report incidents of child abuse within the school and community at large.

This project was conducted in accordance with The National  Plan of Action to End Violence Against Women and Children (NPA-VAWC) popularly known as MTAKUWWA in Kiswahili. This project was implemented in partnership with Ilala District Council and Local Government of Kivule Ward to ensure it is sustainable.
