GIZ is a German Corporation for International Cooperation that has been engaged in international cooperation with Tanzania since 1975. They work with local project partners and, at the regional level, with the East African Community (EAC), which is based in Arusha. However, Currently, GIZ has been conducting a survey in different organizations in Tanzania from different locations on the planned joint project between MOCLA and German Development Cooperation (GIZ) about “Access to Justice ‘Or women and girls in cases of GBV. Tanzania. The is currently in an early planning phase. An appraisal mission will take place from 10 — 25th February 2022 with interviews scheduled in Dodoma, Dar es Salaam, Zanzibar, and Arusha/Moshi and will provide a platform for stakeholder participation.
The overall objective of the new project is to improve access to justice and protection for women and girls in cases Of gender-based violence (GBV) and to promote gender equality in Tanzania.
